I'll not restrain Karunakaran: CM

By Our Special Correspondent

THRIUVANANTHAPURAM NOV. 27. The Chief Minister, A.K. Antony, has said that he is not thinking of restraining the senior leader, K. Karunakaran, in any way.

When presspersons asked during today's Cabinet briefing about the statement made by Mr. Karunakaran that the `I' group in the party would step up its protests against the policies of the Antony Government, the Chief Minister said that as a senior leader, Mr. Karunakaran was free to criticise the functioning of the Government.

It was up to Mr. Karunakaran to decide on the limits of his criticism, he said.

He declined to disclose the contents of the representation made by the `I' group to him on convening of a meeting of the Congress Legislature Party.
