By Sridhar Krishnaswami

New York Nov. 15. Pakistani national, Mir Aimal Kasi, who gunned down two employees of the Central Intelligence Agency in January 1993, was executed in the State of Virginia on Thursday night. Kasi (38) died from a dose of lethal injection shortly after 9 p.m. at a correctional facility in Jarrat, Virginia.

Hours before the execution, the U.S. Supreme Court rejected his appeal; and the Governor of the State denied him clemency.

Kasi, who was said to have been holed up in Afghanistan, was caught in a hotel in Pakistan and returned to the U.S.
