Additional forces have been rushed to the area after angry villagers blocked the roads leading to Bahadurgarh, Badli, Gurgaon, Rewari and Rohtak protesting the arrests. Prohibitory orders have been clamped and educational institutions closed. Official sources said the villagers lifted the blockade of Bahadurgarh Road after a strong police force reached there. The other roads were still blocked. Initial reports said that those arrested belonged to the Vishwa Hindu Parishad. It is reliably learnt that at least three of them are Jats. Sources told this correspondent that the VHP did not have much of a presence in Haryana's rural belt.
