The fourth largest pharma company in the country, Zydus Cadila has already received the approval of the Drugs Controller General of India for both products, he said. The new vaccines follow Zydus Cadila's latest introduction, a Purified Duck Embryo Rabies (PDER) vaccine branded `Vaxirab', which was launched here yesterday. While Zydus Cadila hoped to wrest Rs. 17 crores to Rs. 20 crores of the Rs. 160 crore rabies vaccine market in the first year, it aimed to make similar significant inroads into the Rs. 8 crore varicella vaccine market.
