Sir, The installation of a conveyor belt at the Tirumala shrine is a necessity. The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) while attracting pilgrims through innumerable cottages and a second ghat road sadly offers no amenities for the disabled. Nowadays, a wheel chair is being provided but the relatives of the disabled are finding it difficult to join the queue and enter the sanctum sanctorum. On many occasions disabled persons have returned without even having a glimpse of the Lord. Inside the temple, the labyrinthine queue is a sad spectacle. Most people here are moved away without even a `darshan' of the Lord. Some Home Guards and TTD staff are rude at times. All such discrimination and unhappy incidents can be avoided if the TTD instals a conveyor belt.
