Minority college students seek probe

By Our Staff Reporter

HYDERABAD OCT. 9. Students admitted into the MCA and MBA courses offered by the minority colleges have urged the Chief Minister, N. Chandrababu Naidu, to order a CBCID enquiry into the alleged flouting of rules in the collection of course fees.

In a statement here, students said the minority colleges were collecting an additional fee of Rs. 9,000 from each student claiming that the AICTE had permitted them to do so.

They said the APSCHE and the Universities concerned had rejected the additional fee and threatened to take action against erring colleges. However, despite the Government making it clear that no additional fee could be collected, the colleges continued to do so, they said.

The students said poor students from the community were suffering and the Government should take notice of the issue and order an enquiry.
