Postal stamp on Kottakkal Arya Vaidyasala

By Our Special Correspondent

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM OCT. 9. A commemorative postage stamp on the Kottakkal Arya Vaidyasala is being released in New Delhi on October 12 by the Union Minister of State for Communications and Information Technology, Sanjay Paswan. This was stated by the Chief Postmaster General for Kerala Circle, K. N. K. Karthiayani, here today.

Addressing a press conference convened in connection with the World Post Day, she said the tradition-bound Postal Department of yesterdays now offered several hi-tech services to the customers.

The latest was the e-post service. Ms. Karthiayani said Palakkad was expected to be upgraded as a national speed post centre by the department shortly.

Currently, eight centres in the State (Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Tiruvalla, Kottayam, Kochi, Aluva, Thrissur and Kozhikode) had this status.
