Ucal Fuel to pay 50%

The shareholders of Ucal Fuel Systems have approved the payment of 50 per cent dividend for the year ended March 31, 2002.

S. Muthukrishnan, chairman of the company said the company was planning to expand the product portfolio.

It would also be setting up a global research and development centre in Chennai. The centre would develop fuel injection systems for two-wheelers.

The goal was to develop various products that would enhance the product capability of Ucal Fuel, according to K. Jayakar, Vice Chairman and Managing Director.
