To start with, the discharge was made to the extent of 600 cusecs into the Low Level Canal. The TB Dam, in turn, was getting as much quantum from the Bhadra Project into which inflows were reaching from an upstream project, Lekhya dam. This comes as a boon to Kurnool and Mahabubnagar districts where some places are suffering from acute drinking water scarcity. The Principal Secretary for Irrigation, J. Harinarayan, told The Hindu this evening that the outflow from the dam was expected to reach Gajuladinne Project serving Kurnool and other places in eight days.
