PM to join peace march

By Our Special Correspondent

NEW DELHI APRIL 29. The Prime Minister, Atal Behari Vajpayee, has accepted a suggestion that he should participate in the next peace march in Gujarat .

The convenor of the National Democratic Alliance, George Fernandes, said today that he briefed the NDA on the peace march organised in Ahmedabad by him on Sunday. He appreciated the response from all the parties, including the Congress, but pointed out that the CPI and the CPI(M) had stayed away for reasons best known to them. There were suggestions that more such marches should be organised to instil confidence among the people. ``I suggested that the Prime Minister should participate next time, and he agreed,'' Mr Fernandes said.
