Gallantry awards for 15 CRPF personnel

New Delhi April 29. Six officers and jawans of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) have been awarded the President's Police Medal for Gallantry in recognition of their conspicuous courage displayed in various encounters in Jammu and Kashmir and North-Eastern part of the country.

The awardees are head constable Abdul Majid (posthumous), 91 Bn, constable Inderjit (posthumous), 83 Bn, constable Ashok Kumar (posthumous), 54Bn, lance naik Adesh Kumar, 83 Bn, head constable Jagpati Ram Deputy (posthumous), Bn 48, and commandant S.S. Gill.

Besides, nine other CRPF personnel, including a woman constable, have been awarded Police Medals for Gallantry. They are constable S.K. Khushwaha (posthumous),48 Bn, head constable R.P. Yadav (posthumous), 48 Bn, constable Bindu Kumre, 88 (M) Bn, lance naik Mahipal Singh (posthumous), 122 Bn, P.C. Joshi, IGP (Ops.), Srinagar, Inspector Sudershan Kumar, 69 Bn, head constable Mandeep Singh, 39 Bn, head constable Randhir Singh, 23 Bn, and constable Amoli Lal, Bn 1.
