At a press conference here today, Mr. Hari said the company had already invested over Rs. 15 crores in the Ambattur plant, which would cater to both domestic and export markets. This plant had a production capacity of 36 lakh cycles while the Nashik plant six lakh cycles annually. TI Cycles, which concentrates on steel-based body for both domestic and export markets, was also contemplating to manufacture aluminium-based body for exports. The company had already opened an office in China. The new outfit will also help the company to import accessories for its bicycles.
