Higher turnover by Sundaram Brake Linings

Sundaram Brake Linings has reported higher turnover and profits in the 12 months ended March 31, 2002. Net sales have risen to Rs. 85.44 crores from Rs. 81.36 crores in 2000-01.

Export sales were higher at Rs. 42.85 crores against Rs. 32.33 crores. Domestic sales have dropped to Rs. 42.59 crores from Rs. 49.04 crores. The gross profit, before depreciation and interest charges, has increased to Rs. 13.89 crores from Rs. 12.48 crores.

The net profit is higher at Rs. 5.97 crores against Rs. 5.32 crores.
