By Our Special Correspondent

HYDERABAD, DEC. 8. The Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India (ICFAI) announced the setting up of ICFAI College of Management Teachers, the first of its kind in the country, to orient and train prospective faculty before they actually take up teaching assignment in `management institutions'.

Under a collaborative arrangement with BITS Pilani, successful candidates will get a Ph.D from BITS, in addition to the Certificate of Fellowship, according to Prof. V. Panduranga Rao, Director, Icfaian Business School.

It will be a three-year programme, followed by three year commitment to teach either in ICFAI or BITS. Prof. Rao said the entire exercise was aimed at producing quality `management teachers'. The ICFAI also offers Rs. 15,000 as stipend in the first year, and Rs. 18,000 from second year. After the three year programme they will be absorbed as Assistant Professors.
