Wasted rhetoric

Sir, - `If you are not with us you are against us', `we will get him dead or alive', `smoke him out and chase him down', `we are slowly lightening the neck of the enemy' - these are the words of the head of the most powerful State. Such rhetoric will only aggravate fanaticism and encourage fanatics to emulate Osama bin Laden even before he is brought to justice.

The U.S. has warned its citizens against another possible terrorist strike. It means that terrorists are still hiding in America. Why not bomb the U.S. as well? Or at least stop bombing Afghanistan till terrorists are driven out of American soil.

Money and muscle power seem to determine the course of international affairs and define democracy, liberty and freedom. Beating around Osama will not produce results.
