Another infant dies

LUCKNOW, NOV. 6. The Uttar Pradesh Government today ordered an inquiry into the causes of death of 11 infants, who allegedly died due to shortage of oxygen cylinders at the K.G. Medical College here, even as one more infant died at the unit taking the toll to 12.

The Medical Education Minister, Mr. Narendra Kumar Singh Gaur, said an officer of the special secretary rank would probe the matter and submit a report within 48 hours. The Government probe apparently comes in the wake of a query from the Prime Minister's Office.
