Seats for kin of jawans

NEW DELHI, NOV. 6. The Centre is keen on earmarking a certain percentage of seats for the kin of jawans killed in action in the new medical college here which is likely to start functioning from November 15.

The Union Health Minister, Mr. C.P. Thakur, has written to the authorities to earmark some reservation for the children of armed forces who died in a war or war-like situation such as insurgency.

He asked the authorities to give priority to inducting the wait- listed students of Common para-Medical Test in the college for which the Indraprastha University had agreed to give affiliation, sources said.
