had been a victim of Taliban-induced terrorism and signalled
endorsement of New Delhi's role in post-Taliban Afghanistan.
'India, Russia think alike on global terrorism'

SC asks Laloo to surrender before Ranchi court
New Delhi, Nov. 5. Refusing to give a blanket bail to the
Rashtriya Janata Dal president and former Bihar Chief Minister,
Mr. Laloo Prasad Yadav, the Supreme Court today asked him to
surrender before a special court at Ranchi, in Jharkhand, on
November 26 in connection with the fodder scam cases.

Summit with India okayed

East Asian Nations (ASEAN) has okayed a separate ASEAN-India
summit meeting, the Malaysian Prime Minister, Dr. Mahathir
Mohamad, said today.

have developed a preventive vaccine against anthrax, the bacteria

U.S. warship in Chennai
