Heart matters
HEALTH IS not absence of disease, but a complete state of
physical and mental well-being.
Those who try to maintain a disciplined life know that only too
well. But don't take things to heart - literally, that is.
That is the message from Harvey Heart Hospitals, which is seeking
to educate people on the importance of health of the heart. The
hospital besides providing heart care also aims to educate public
on prevention, identification and management of heart disorders,
as Dr. M.P. Naresh Kumar, Managing Director puts it.
The ambience is very important, and so importantly there is no
hospital look to the place, nor even the smell of it. Reports are
personalised to make the individual feel important.
Positive health is what counts, Dr. Naresh Kumar feels. For the
executive category, the high stress type most prone to heart
ailments, the Hospital offers a business chamber in a tastefully
furnished lounge with office gadgets, where the client can
conduct business while waiting for the tests. There are three
club groups - Platinum, Gold and Silver and there are also the
corporate and premium clubs with customised packages.
For patients on the move, test reports, analysis and
recommendations are hosted on the web which can be accessed with
a password.
Dr. N. Sivakadaksham, Director, quotes research saying that
genetically Indians are more prone to heart problems,
particularly South Indians.
