Five senior police officials transferred

BANGALORE, SEPT. 21. The State Government on Friday transferred five senior IPS officers. The Joint Commissioner of Police, Mr. B.N.Nagaraj, who was given a new assignment of the law and order in the City, has posted as Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Economic Offences, Bangalore.

Mr. Om Prakash, who was IGP, Economic Offences, has been transferred as IGP, Northern Range, Belgaum, in place of Mr. S.S.Masali, who is on leave.

Mr. Kuchanna Srinivasan, IGP, waiting for posting, has been posted as Commissioner of Police, Hubli-Dharwad. Mr. Y.R.Patil, who was there, has been shifted.

Mr. B.G.J.Mirji, Deputy Inspector-General of Police, Administration, has been transferred and posted in the downgraded post of Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime), Bangalore City.

Mr. N.S.Megharikh, Superintendent of Police, Corps of Detectives, has been promoted as Deputy Inspector-General of Police and posted as DIG (Administration), Bangalore.
