Pak. favours continuation of dialogue with India

By B. Muralidhar Reddy

ISLAMABAD, SEPT. 21. Pakistan today maintained that it favoured continuation of the process of dialogue to address Kashmir and other issues in its bid for normalisation of ties with New Delhi.

The Pakistan Foreign Office spokesman reiterated at a news conference that the ``vicious propaganda'' by the Indian media and ``certain segments of the Indian leadership'' against Pakistan ever since the terrorist attacks on the American cities did not augur well for the betterment of ties between the countries.

`Pak. too pre-occupied'

In New Delhi, the External Affairs Minister, Mr. Jaswant Singh tonight ruled out talks with Pakistan in the near future saying the situation has ``transformed beyond recognition'' because of the terrorist strikes in U.S. and Islamabad is ``pre-occupied''.
