India's departure for South Africa advanced
MUMBAI, SEPT. 1. The Indian team's departure for South Africa has
been advanced by four days in order to relocate the short
preparatory camp from a city in India to Johannesburg.
The early departure will give India 10 days to prepare before the
first match of the tri-series against South Africa in
Johannesburg on October 5.
The advantage of shifting the preparatory camp to Johannesburg
(it will also help the team get used to the conditions) as
contended by the team is that the coach John Wright and physio
Andrew Leipus can focus on 15 players and not on 20 plus players
as the case has been in the recent past.
