Sena to organise Vinayaka Chathurthi procession

CHENNAI, SEPT. 1. Members of the Shiv Sena will organise Vinayaka
Chathurthi procession from Saidapet on Sunday. The procession
will start at 1-30 p.m. and pass through Royapettah High Road,
V.M. Street, Dr. Radhakrishnan Salai and Kamarajar Salai to reach
Seerani Arangam.
Idols from various parts of the city will assemble at Luz Corner,
says a release from the Shiv Sena.
The route the procession will take is Maraimalai Adigal Bridge,
Saidapet, Anna Salai, Eldams Road, Luz Church Road, Royapettah
High Road, V.M. Street, Radhakrishnan Salai, Kamarajar Salai and
Seerani Arangam. If some statues coming from Chengalpattu were
bigger than 16 feet, the procession might be taken via Anna
Salai, beneath Gemini Flyover, Radhakrishnan Salai to the Marina,
police sources said.
