Dazzling diamonds

EXCLUSIVELY DEVELOPED jewellery based on active interaction with individual client tastes and a translation of these ideas into design concepts seem to be the bedrock on which the success of Kirtilal Kalidas's line of jewellery is based. Although inspired by Indian jewellery traditions, both from South and North India, each piece at the Jewellery exhibition currently on at their showroom (76, C.P. Ramaswamy Road, Alwarpet) is a unique one-of- its-kind piece, with no duplications, be it the lightest of 1-2 carat gold chain, the tiniest of ruby studs or a flawless `hearts and arrows' baget and round diamonds necklace fit for a bride.

Known as `solitaire specialists', the designer diamond jewellery line hand crafted by Kirtilal Kalidas has flawless cut of diamond set in a range of necklaces, pendants, chains, bracelets, studs and rings both in the traditional and contemporary mode.

A certain minimalism in design format, purity of curve and delicacy of both concept and execution distinguish each of the exhibits at the Kirtilal Kalidas Jewellery Exhibition. The exhibition features the ``Gift Collection'', casual day time jewellery as well as the traditional and antique collection. So if it is a magnificent Moghul-inspired ivy and trellis diamond- encrusted `karha' one covets, a lovely `manga malai' glowing with rubies, or a neat little gold ring, a trip to the Kirtilal Kalidas Jewellery Exhibition is definitely a must.

The Jewellery exhibition is on till the month end.
