Team selection on Aug. 2
MUMBAI, JULY 26. The five national selectors will meet here on
Thursday, August 2 to pick a 15-member Indian team for the three
Test series against Sri Lanka. The three Tests will be played in
Galle (Aug. 14 to 18), Kandy (Aug. 22 to 26) and Singhalese
Sports Club, Colombo (Aug. 29 - Sept. 2).
The Board of Control for Cricket in India's (BCCI) honourary
secretary, Mr. J.Y. Lele said from Baroda that he would write to
the Sports Ministry, seeking permission to play the Asian Test
Championship match against Pakistan in Pakistan in September.
