Pentamedia Graphics turnover increases

Pentamedia Graphics, an entertainment graphics major, has reported a turnover of Rs.158.09 crores in the first quarter ended June 30, 2001 against Rs.114.49 crores during the corresponding period last year, a 38 per cent rise.

The gross profit before depreciation and interest charges has risen sharply to Rs. 62.52 crores from Rs. 43.14 crores. After providing Rs. 20.53 crores (Rs. 12.31 crores) for depreciation and Rs. 25 lakhs (nil) towards taxation, the net profit for the quarter was higher by 35 per cent Rs. 41.74 crores against Rs. 30.83 crores in the same period in the previous year.
