Clariant India has announced a 24 per cent increase in net profit at Rs. 5.02 crores for the first quarter ended June 30, 2001 as against Rs. 4.06 crores in the corresponding period last year. Sales turnover was up at Rs. 72.96 crores (Rs. 64.81 crores).

Addressing shareholders at the company's annual general meeting (AGM) in Mumbai, Mr. P. R.
