Homage paid to Kargil martyrs

PONDICHERRY, JULY 26. The Pondicherry Lt.Governor, Dr. Rajani
Rai, the Chief Minister, Mr. P. Shanmugham, and several others
paid homage to the Kargil martyrs on the occasion of the Kargil
Vijay Diwas day here today.
The Tourism and Education Minister, Mr. A. V. Subramanian, the
MLAs, Mr. K. Lakshminarayanan (PMC), Mr. A. Anbalagan (AIADMK),
and Mr. P. Angalan (Cong), the Chief Secretary, Mr. T. T. Joseph,
the Director of Sainik Welfare Department, Col. Ashok Choudhry,
the IG of Police, Mr. J. P. Singh, the Collector, Mr. A.
Anbarasu, and representatives of the Ex-servicemen Coordination
Committee also paid homage.
Later, Mr.Lakshiminarayanan said the communication was sent only
yesterday afternoon. Had it been made available in advance, he
would have asked all MLAs of his party to attend the function.
