Martyrs remembered on 2nd anniversary of 'Kargil Diwas'

BANGALORE, JULY 26. The martyrs of Kargil were remembered on
Thursday, and wreaths were placed at the War Memorials of the
Army Service Corps (ASC) Centre and the Headquarters Training
Command of the Indian Air Force in City.
On the second anniversary of ``Kargil Diwas'', Lt. Gen. Jagadish
Chander, Commandant of the ASC Centre and College, and the
highest ranking Army Officer in the City, led the ceremony at the
ASC Centre War Memorial.
At the IAF Training Command HQ, Air Marshal T.J.Master, Air
Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Training Command, and other
senior officers laid wreaths at the Memorial, which has the words
``In memory of those who touched the sky with glory'' inscribed
on it. A wreath was also placed on behalf of the Governor, Ms
V.S.Rama Devi, by her ADC, Captain Digvijay Singh. Brig.
L.S.Reddy, Commandant of Karnataka, Kerala and Goa Sub-Area, was
among the officers from other services, who laid wreaths at the
Memorial.
