Alcatel bags VSNL order

HYDERABAD, JUNE 9. Videsh Sanchar Nigam Limited (VSNL) has placed
an order on Alcatel for supply and installation of remote access
servers to expand its presence in 22 locations across the
country.
According to an Alcatel press release issued here on Friday, this
is the largest expansion of an ISP (VSNL) in the country. The
Alcatel 7410 remote access servers will be used to create points
of presence and are the contacts for the customer with the ISP
networks. The execution of the project started in May, said Mr.
Michel Vetil, MD of Alcatel India.
