Telangana Cong. forum meet tomorrow
By Our Special Correspondent
HYDERABAD, JUNE 9. The Telangana Congress Legislators Forum will
meet here at Gandhi Bhavan on June 11 to decide on its future
course of action.
Addressing a press conference on Saturday, Mr.P. Govardhan Reddy,
and Mr.P. Kista Reddy, MLAs, said the forum proposed to organise
conventions in Warangal, Nalgonda, Medak and Nizamabad districts.
Dates would be finalised at the Gandhi Bhavan meeting.
They said a convention would be held at Mancherial in Adilabad
district on June 17. The forum would continue to build pressure
on the party high command for a favourable response to the demand
for a separate Telangana. It would submit its view to Mr. Pranab
Mukherjee, chairman of the sub-committee on small States during
his visit to the city on June 14.
They demanded a white paper by the TDP Government on the funds
spent in Telangana region in comparison with Andhra region since
1972. They criticised the BJP for changing its tune on Telangana
and said people would teach a lesson to that party.
