MSEB seeks rejection of DPC petition
MUMBAI, JUNE 9. The Maharashtra State Electricity Board (MSEB)
today filed an affidavit in the Mumbai High Court seeking
rejection of the Dabhol Power Company's (DPC) June 6 petition.
``In our affidavit we have prayed that the DPC's petition,
challenging the jurisdiction of Maharashtra Electricity
Regulatory Commission (MERC) should not be admitted and also
denied all allegation made against the board,'' MSEB sources
said.
The MSEB has contended that the DPC had acted ``in haste'' and it
should have waited for the MERC to pass an order or atleast take
a decision over jurisdiction on the June 14 hearing.
