Nine members of family die in road accident

HYDERABAD, JUNE 4. In a ghastly road accident, nine members of a family died while another was injured near Chevella in Ranga Reddy district on Monday evening. The incident occurred when a Tata Sumo coming in the opposite direction collided head on with the auto they were travelling in.

The injured auto driver, Mr. Sainath, who is incidentally the head of the family, is fighting for life at the Osmania Hospital. The deceased, who are from Chintal area in the city were coming back after attending a family function at Chevella.

The deceased were identified as Amaravati (45), Sangeeta (13), Jyothi (30), Rangamma (50), Swati (14), Bharat (14), Vaishnavi (5), Geeta (18) and Sangeeta (15). Sangeeta breathed her last at the hospital while all others died on the spot.
