Mr. Pradipto Ghosh, an IAS officer of the 1969 batch, today took over as Additional Secretary to the Prime Minister. A seasoned hand in economic affairs, he has served in various capacities in Delhi, Pondicherry, and Arunachal Pradesh. An officer of the Union Territory cadre, Mr. Ghosh has served as senior environment specialist at the Asian Development Bank, Manila, from 1994-2001. He is a chemical technologist- turned economist.
