Pak. toll 20

ISLAMABAD, JAN. 27. The toll in the earthquake on Friday that
affected parts of the Sindh province in Pakistan has risen to 20
and authorities expect it to go up once the situation in the
interior parts of Sindh is known.
The epicentre of the earthquake was 300 km southeast of Karachi
in the fault zone of Rann of Kach. The quake recorded 6.5 on the
Richter scale by the Peshawar Seismological Centre. In Pakistan,
the quake was felt in Karachi, Hyderabad, Multan, Lahore,
Peshawar and Quetta.
According to reports in the Pakistani media, maximum impact of
the quake was felt in the Hyderabad and Mirpurkhas divisions of
Sindh province.
