Bomb hoax at airport

By Our Staff Reporter

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, JAN. 6. An anonymous telephone call saying a bomb had been planted aboard an incoming Dubai-Thiruvananthapuram-Kochi Air India flight (A-931) caused a scare at the international airport here today.

The call, however, proved a hoax as airport security personnel, who searched the aircraft after it landed at 3-50 p.m., found nothing.

Meanwhile, there was another bomb threat call involving an Indian Airlines aircraft, which was scheduled to fly to Dubai at 5.15 p.m. from the Karipur airport in Kozhikode. This call also was a hoax.
