 India, Russia to discuss n-issues
As part of their efforts to build a new partnership in a changing world, India and Russia are likely to discuss various issues relating to nuclear non-proliferation and cooperation in the peaceful uses of atomic energy during the four-day visit by the Russian President, Mr. Vladimir Putin.

 Nation pays homage to Gandhi
The nation today fondly remembered the Father of the Nation on his 131st birth anniversary with leaders saying that the Gandhian philosophy was relevant even after more than 50 years of Independence.

'Another emissary must accompany Gopal'

20 killed in Sri Lanka
A candidate of the Sri Lanka Muslim Congress (SLMC) contesting in Trincomalee was among at least 20 killed in a suicide bomb attack today in Trincomalee in eastern Sri Lankan as one of the party's leaders and the deputy minister for telecommunication, Mr. M L A M Hisbullah, escaped yet another attempt on his life in Batticaloa.
