Five-day book collection drive concludes
Book-by-book, the wall is finally built, with the number crossing 2.52 lakh as on Thursday, when the five-day book donation drive for underprivileged children concluded.

According to the organisers, as of Tuesday evening, nearly 1.17 lakh books have been donated since the inauguration of the drive on Sunday. University of Madras donates 75,000 books.

Though education is one of the most important factors that will determine India's growth, 59 million of its children do not attend school. Aviva launched a mega initiative in 2009 to generate awareness about the cause. This year, The Hindu presents the ‘Aviva Great Wall of Education' in Chennai.
