An unbeaten half-century by G.V. Vignesh (60 not out) helped St. Patrick’s AIHSS to an eight-wicket victory over Nellai Nadar MHSS in the quarterfinals of the Junior Super Kings T20 championship here.

In another match, M. Shahrukh Khan (40) continued his good form and he along with S. Lokeshwar (43 not out) guided St. Bede’s AIHSS, Santhome to a six-wicket victory over Vidya Mandir SSS, Mylapore.

Santhome HSS and Don Bosco MHSS, Egmore won their respective quarterfinal games against MCC HSS, Chetpet and Govt. HSS, Ashok Nagar to complete the semifinal quartet.

The scores: Quarterfinals: Vidya Mandir SSS, Mylapore 105 for eight in 20 overs (R. Niklesh 39, S.R. Harikrish three for 22) lost to St. Bede’s AIHSS, Santhome 106 for four in 18 overs (M. Shahrukh Khan 40, S. Lokeshwar 43 not out).

MCC HSS, Chetpet 53 in 18.1 overs (Adithya Varooah three for nine, K. Vishal Vaidya three for zero) lost to Santhome HSS 57 for one in 9.4 overs (Kaushik.U. Ram 30).

Don Bosco MHSS, Egmore 186 for five in 20 overs (L. Kiran Akash 55, Daryl.S.Ferrario 54 not out) bt Govt. HSS, Ashok Nagar 128 for nine in 20 overs (J. Regin Jose 27, Vigneshwar three for 24, B. Surya three for eight ).

Nellai Nadar MHSS 117 for seven in 20 overs (P. Praveen Kumar 51 not out) lost to St. Patrick’s AIHSS 118 for two in 17 overs (G.V. Vignesh 60 not out, Maan.K. Bafna 25).
