Women’s tennis championship: Karman, Rutuja in quarterfinals

Karman Kaur Thandi and wild card Rutuja Bhosale entered the quarterfinals of the $25,000 NECC-ITF women’s tennis championship here on Wednesday.

Karman defeated Ukraine’s Valeriya Strakhova 6-1, 6-1 in an hour, while Rutuja prevailed over Slovania’s Laja Juvan 4-6, 6-2, 6-3.
