The SSN College of Engineering will conduct an all-India tennis championship for boys under 23 at the college courts from February 6 to 9. The SSN Open event has attracted 51 entries for singles and 21 for doubles.
Players from Manipal and Bangalore are in the fray in which the top star of SSN College Irfan Hussain figures prominently. Sudarshan and Viswajeet are the notable entries.
Two synthetic courts, declared open on February 2 by Ms. Kiran Nadar, Trustee, SSNCE, will be used for the tournament. Davis Cup star, Ramesh Krishnan will be the chief guest on Monday at the inaugural ceremony.
