Somdev-Purav, Harsh-Huey lose in semis

India’s title hopes at the ATP Challenger event in Knoxville, US went up in smoke after Somdev Devvarman and Purav Raja and Harsh Mankad and his Filipino partner Treat Conard Huey lost in their respective doubles semifinals.

Somdev and Purav went down 2-6 3-6 against South African pair of Raven Klaasen and Izak Van der Merwe.

Second seeded Harsh and his Philippines’ partner lost 3-6 6-7(3) to Germany’s Martin Emmrich and Andreas Siljestrom of Sweden.

All the four players got 27 ranking points each and earned USD 540 each as prize money.
