Somdev Devvarman continued his upward journey in the ranking list, as India’s new tennis star rose by three rungs to career-best 121.

Somdev, who took a short break last week, had achieved his career best ranking of 124 recently.

Also improving his ranking was Prakash Amritraj, who after making the singles quarterfinals at the Calabasas Challenger event in US has jumped 17 places to 232.

Teen sensation Yuki Bhambri also gained three places to be at 344.

In the doubles list, Mahesh Bhupathi (7) conceded his sixth place to Lukas Dlouhy while Leander Paes had his ranking unchanged at eighth position.

Sania Mirza maintained her singles ranking (58) but lost two positions in the doubles list to stand at 38 in the new WTA rankings.
