Sweden’s Robin Soderling has advanced to the third round of Wimbledon by defeating Marcel Granollers 7-5, 6-1, 6-4.

The sixth-seeded Soderling needed just over an hour and a half to eliminate the 87th-ranked Spaniard.

Soderling, a finalist at the past two French Opens, hit 39 winners to Granollers’ 15 and was the more aggressive of the two players.

Soderling faces Thomaz Bellucci for a berth in the final 16.
