Two-time French Open finalist Robin Soderling beat Argentine qualifier Leonardo Mayer 6-1, 6-4, 6-3 on Saturday to advance to the fourth round.

Soderling made only two unforced errors in the first set and broke Mayer twice in the second.

The Swede received treatment on his right ring finger at the start of the third set but didn’t seem bothered by the pain as he quickly built a 5-0 lead.

Soderling made it to the final at Roland Garros over the past two years. He has won three titles this year and will next play Gilles Simon of France.
