Unseeded Ukrainian Oleksandra Korashvili upset fourth seed Rishika Sunkara of India in the first round of the $10,000 ITF Bidar Open tennis tournament here on Monday.
A typically aggressive Oleksandra overcame Rishika with power, roaring back after going down in the first set.
Wildcard entrant Spurti Shivalingaiah, meanwhile, sent Eetee Mehta packing in an engrossing three-set battle. Battling blisters on her foot during the course of the three-hour match, Spurti displayed fine spirit to emerge the winner against her fancied opponent.
