Former champion Agnieszka Radwanska reached the semifinals of the Eastbourne International on Thursday with an easy 6-2, 6-2 defeat of Bulgarian Tsvetana Pironkova.
In the women’s doubles section, Sania Mirza and Martina Hingis entered the semifinals with a 4-6, 6-3, 10-6 win over Hao-Ching Chan and Flavia Pennetta.
Meanwhile at Nottingham, top seeds Leander Paes and Marcel Granollers were knocked out of the ATP Aegon Open when they lost 4-6, 6-3, 7-10 to unseeded Chris Guccione and Andre Sa.
Paes and Granollers lost 4-6, 6-3, 7-10 in one hour and 15 minutes.
