Spain’s Rafael Nadal remains comfortably on top of the latest ATP rankings which were released Monday.
Nadal did not play last week due to illness but returns to action in the Rio Open this week where he plays compatriot Daniel Gimeno Traver in the first round. He has an advantage of 3,505 points over Novak Djokovic.
David Ferrer’s win in Argentina last week moved him up to fourth ahead of Juan Martin del Potro, while Tomas Berdych’s victory in the Netherlands takes him to sixth ahead of Britain’s Andy Murray.
Marin Cilic, who also enjoyed a strong Rotterdam Open, enters the top 30 by moving up eight places to 29th.

Serena dominates WTA
Serena Williams continues to top the WTA rankings released Monday but there was movement in the chasing pack.
Australian Open champion Li Na moves up to second in the list with Poland’s Agnieszka Radwanska now occupying third spot.
Both gain a place while Victoria Azarenka of Belarus slips down to fourth to make way.
Italy’s Sara Errani clings on to a top 10 berth, but only just as she falls behind Jelena Jankovic, Angelique Kerber and Simona Halep.
