Myneni to meet Amritraj

Prakash Amritraj and Saketh Myneni set up the men’s singles title clash of the $15,000 ITF Futures tournament here on Friday.

Fourth-seeded Saketh Myneni shocked Indonesian top seed Christopher Rungkat 6-2, 6-1 in just 51 minutes while Amritraj beat eighth seed Nicolas Reissig of Austria 6-3, 6-4.

Myneni and Purav Raja, the top-seeds, beat second-seeded N. Sriram Balaji and Arun Kumar Rajagopalan 7-5, 6-7(3), 10-5 in the doubles final.

The results: Singles semifinals: Saketh Myneni bt Christopher Rungkat (Ina) 6-2, 6-1; Prakash Amritraj bt Nicolas Reissig (Aut) 6-3, 6-4. Doubles final: Saketh Myneni & Purav Raja bt N. Sriram Balaji & Arun Kumar Rajagopalan 7-5, 6-7(3), 10-5.
