ITF women’s tennis: Ankita pulls out

The country’s No.1 woman tennis player, the 352nd ranked Ankita Raina pulled out of the $10,000 ITF women’s tennis tournament to be held at the DLTA Complex here from Monday.

In her absence, the 505th ranked Keren Shlomo of Israel will be the top seed ahead of Rishika Sunkara. Hua-Chen Lee of Chinese Taipei, Akari Inoue of Japan, Matilda Hamlin of Sweden, Julia Moriarty of Australia, Ho Ching Wu and Katherine Ip of Hong Kong apart from Wang Xi-Yao of China, are the other foreign players scheduled to figure in the main draw.
